Awana Commander
Robin grew up in Southern California for her first 12 years, moved to New Jersey for junior high and then on to Anchorage, Alaska for high school. She attended University of Oregon and received her degree in Journalism. Working as a copywriter for an advertising agency was not her true calling, and she found her niche in accounting. Robin met her husband Charlie in Oregon and they have two grown children, Lindsay & Grant.
Lindsay and Grant participated in Awana from an early age and Robin volunteered in many capacities as a Sparks secretary, Sparks leader, and the Girls Truth and Training Director. In 2013, Robin joined the staff as an Awana Co-Commander. Robin also teaches in the Heart to Heart Women’s Bible study and serves as the Financial Secretary for Lake Bible church.
Her favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
