JOIN OUR TEAM!
Lake Bible Church is looking for the right person to help us build a growing ministry for our children and families.
Our goal is that every child at Lake grows up to know Jesus, love Jesus, and follow Jesus for their whole life.
We don’t have lone rangers. We want a team builder—someone who is excited to recruit, equip, encourage, and empower other people to serve. It’s important that you love Jesus, love kids, and enjoy connecting with parents.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal teammate:
Has a growing relationship with Jesus and loves the local church.
Enjoys finding, developing, and encouraging volunteers.
Connects naturally with parents and new families.
Can teach the Bible to children in an engaging way.
Is organized, dependable, and takes initiative.
Values safety and takes child protection seriously.
Experience and education are helpful, but we're much more interested in finding someone with the character, ability, energy, and heart to build something.
WHAT YOU’LL LEAD
You'll provide leadership for our children's ministry, especially on Sunday mornings. The role will flex according to your gifts and experience, but it will likely include:
Leading and developing our children's ministry team.
Overseeing Sunday morning programming, check-in, and safety.
Connecting with new children and families.
Coordinating curriculum and communication.
Supporting our midweek children’s ministry and its leaders.
Helping develop several special events for children and families each year.
We expect that you love Jesus. Nothing is more foundational for any team member. We also expect that you are being changed as a result of your relationship with Him. Alongside this foundation, we expect you to be an excellent teammate. We embrace truthfulness, openness, authenticity, and healthy conflict. We avoid silos and turf wars. Communication and flexibility with one another are the keys to our team’s success.
This is a part-time position, generally 20–25 hours per week, including consistent Sunday morning availability and flexible hours during the week.
Compensation is expected to be $28–$33 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and the scope of the role.
We have some flexibility in both hours and compensation. Our priority is finding the right person, and we're open to shaping the position around the strengths, experience, and availability of the right candidate.
If that sounds like something you'd love to help build, we'd love to talk with you.
To apply, please send an email introducing yourself to our lead pastor, David Rudd.
