The Appearance of the Kingdom of God: How It Will Be

- When we talk about the advent of the kingdom of God, (like the Jewish people of the first century) we typically think in terms of the future physical appearance of the kingdom of God on earth when Christ returns in glory to rule and reign with His people. However, before that Jesus taught that the kingdom of God comes in another form (17:20-21). In fact, He told the Pharisees, “The kingdom of God is in your midst.” What did He mean by that?
- So what is the definition of being in the Kingdom (when in its physical sense it has not yet appeared)? How would you say “the Church” and “the Kingdom of God” are related? Are they two ways of referring to the same entit? What other ways might they be connected?
