  1. In what ways is Jesus Christ a superior high priest between man and God (the Father), compared to the Levitical priests under the old covenant?
  2. Why did God replace the first (or old) covenant?
  3. What is the beauty of the new covenant for those who know God in Christ? What are its advantages for us?
  4. In His essential and moral being, God never changes. Some fall into great error, thinking there is basically continuity in His modes – that whatever God did yesterday, He will continue without interruption or suspension. But what about Hebrews 8:13? Is there necessarily continuity in His modes of operation?
