  1. Of the lessons unearthed in this narrative, which one(s) most spoke to you?
  2. At the beginning of this narrative, David, the future king of Israel, finds himself in a peck of complications that but for the mercy of God, might have ruined him. For God’s people there is a great lesson to be learned from David’s experience on that point so that in our own way we do not repeat his mistake. In principle, what had David done wrong that many of us have replicated and thereby complicated our own lives?
