God Pays For What He Orders

Text: 1 Samuel 9:15-10:12

  1. In this narrative, we see repeated confirmations of the words of the prophet, Samuel, to Saul. What God was doing in Saul’s case, in one way or another He seeks to accomplish in us, also. Expressed in ‘Monday morning’ terms what is that?
  2. Saul was totally confused about the things the prophet Samuel was telling him were “in the cards” for him. What he needed to move into his future, was something we all need in getting on God’s page and something He is always willing to give those who are ready to do His will. What is it?
  3. When we are confused about God’s will or faint hearted or insecure or feel unworthy in following God’s direction, the Lord is good about doing for us what He did for Saul. What is that? Any examples?
  4. What is the timeless lesson in traveling light? V.4
  5. From time to time, in walking with and serving the Lord, we will face crises of inadequacy, which is a good thing, really. In such cases, when we are following God’s direction, what did the Lord do for Saul that we can be assured He will do for us? Any examples?
